I've got a few minutes to reflect on the past couple of weeks and the accomplishments (outside of work and personal) achieved in ramping up to participate in what HP is branding as their biggest conference ever.
First, and no small accomplishment, the Vivit team has launched a completely new web site. New branding, new hosting (to the cloud!), and new perspective on social media and collaboration.
Second, we've been working hip-to-hip with the HP marketing social media group and it has been exciting, invigorating, and educational. As a part-time blogger for many years, the things I've learned about social media in the past two months have been incredible, and hopefully will help me hone this craft.
Third, Vivit has already gotten a great head start on increasing our membership for our annual conference show floor membership drive. Due to a collaborative effort between HP and Vivit, we've been able to offer Vivit membership packaged with conference registration, but also get a conference discount for Vivit members.
The next two days will be pretty heads down in the board of directors meetings, but I'll be doing my best to get the messaging damped up to keep all Vivit followers of my posts up to date on the happenings in Vegas.
And I'm really looking forward to the many social media events planned, the highlight being at Lagasse Stadium for the HP TweetUp.
